Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing is limbering up for its first season in the British Superbike paddock, with four talented young riders racing across three different classes.

Two Wheel Tuning has secured title sponsorship with Magic Bullet, and this winning combination will be taking the British Superbike Championship by storm.

Kenny Gilbertson will be spearheading the team’s effort in the new Evo class aboard GSX-R1000 Suzuki. The 23-year old from Swindon competed in the Superbike Cup in 2009 and is thrilled at the prospect of taking part in an all new class with a newly established team.

Gilbertson said: “I’m excited to be on board with Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing and Dave Tyson of Two Wheel Tuning. Evo is the class to be in as it is part of British Superbikes and with the rules changing as it progresses into 2011 it’s ideal. As it is a new class it is a clean slate for everyone and this is my first time with Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing, so it is a learning curve for us all. I want to be consistent and we have plenty of testing planned to find our feet before the season starts. I want to be challenging for podiums and solid results every weekend. Also as Evo runs within Superbike I want to finish as high up the main results as possible.”

The team has a large Irish contingent with the remaining three riders coming from Northern Ireland. David Haire, Ulster Superbike Champion, will be stepping up to the Metzeler National Superstock 1000cc class on a GSX-R1000 Suzuki. Having previously contested the Yamaha R6 Cup, the 20-year old from Lisburn is already familiar with British tracks, and relishes the thought of taking on the big names in Superstock.

Haire said: “During the season I was racing at Anglesey and Dave Tyson came to speak with me, he asked if I was interested in the team so we set up a meeting at the NEC show and everything went from there. Last season went really well for me and like every rider you go out there to win, however I need to be realistic this season as it will be tough. If you look at who is in Superstock this year – Glen Richards, Ian Hutchinson, Steve Plater – it’s not going to be easy, but I want to be as close to the front as possible. For me this is the right time to come over and start racing in the UK, the team is putting in a lot of effort and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Nikki Coates and Stuart Elwood will complete the vibrant line up and compete in the Metzeler Junior Super 600 class aboard Yamaha YZF-R6s. Both already have experience of this class having competed in it last season, and 20-year old Coates is determined to do his best to take the title home to Belfast.

Coates said: “Dave got in touch with me initially, he was so positive and explained how everything was going to be run, I thought it sounded like the ideal opportunity for me. There is lots of preseason testing scheduled, the bike is good and the team is very organised. My plan is to try and win the Championship. I know I have the speed I just need to be consistent to pull in the points and take the title.”

Elwood, who is the youngest member of the team at just 17-years old and heralding from Lisburn, is also revved up about the season ahead.

Elwood said: “I met Dave at Cadwell Park last year and he helped me a lot with my bike and confidence. Starting out on a full season with the team can only be a good thing as it will get better and better. I want to score points in every round and try to finish in the top ten each time.”

The man behind the team who will be keeping all the riders motivated is Dave Tyson who runs the Two Wheel Tuning Company. Tyson has a vision of developing young talent through his Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing team.

Dave Tyson, Team Owner said: “Obviously every team sets out to win and we are no exception, we are determined to be challenging for the honours from the very start. Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing wants to develop young talent in Britain and with the set-up we have we feel we can do that. We have a defined route for them to take from Junior Superstock 600cc, to 1000cc Superstock class and then on to the Evo class. We’d like to think a rider can come to us and over a number of season progress to where he wants to be. I’d like to see Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing providing the foundations of many successful race careers.”

Magic Bullet Two Wheel Racing will makes its track debut at the first round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit on the 3rd – 5th April.

Many Hands Make have gained more hands, two to be precise, belonging to Verity our virtual office imp. Verity reveals herself when she gets bored, just to cause a bit of mischief and keep Pat and Rachel on their toes.

This week went along normally – Pat preparing management accounts, Rachel out on Tuesday minuting a meeting then on Wednesday starting a database cleansing project at a client’s premises. Verity thought that was too quiet, so on Thursday when Pat and Rachel went to visit Mike and Paul at MP Accountants she caused the navigator to miss Lamport Manor entirely and they drove to Old before turning back. Not too much disruption as coffee was still available. Although Many Hands Make….. your virtual office and MP Accountants (clients are people not commodities) have no clients in common they like to keep in touch and share local information and events.

So on Friday, with the prospect of spending all day alone with Pat while Rachel continued her database project, Verity the virtual office imp interfered with the Market Harborough Business Club breakfast meeting. The meeting started promptly in a businesslike fashion but then Verity the virtual office imp interacted with Fergus the MAD Photography fairy and wham bam alakazam it degenerated into laughing, joking, sideswiping FUN! It was so good we all undertook to meet again next Friday.

So another week over in Many Hands Make… your virtual office. Verity has not yet reappeared so no doubt the virtual office imp is plotting something for next week.

GFT, manufacturers of the fuel treatment Magic Bullet® today announced it was appointing Brooks Deacon Partnership as its sole telephony provider following a successful trial of a mobile VOIP technology package. GFT required a solution that enabled office telephone numbers to be answerable on a VOIP handset whilst away from the office at The Carole Nash International Motorcycle show at the NEC this December. They also needed secure wireless access for laptop connectivity to the internet for work e-mails and real-time access to server based information at their HQ.

GFT Operations Director Clive Palmer said:

“We simply said what we wanted in operational terms without the telecoms jargon and Brooks Deacon did the rest. It was flawless and I cannot rate them more highly for their professionalism. Our telecoms requirements are growing rapidly and we needed a reliable and flexible telecoms partner who can grow with us. We are delighted to appoint Brooks Deacon to do the job.”

Brooks Deacon Partnership specified a secure 3G wireless router to connect to the internet and a Linksys Feature Plus VOIP handset to enable calls to be made and received over the internet at a competitive rate.

All the Magic Bullet® team were able to answer calls whilst out of the office as their numbers simply routed directly to the NEC without the need for costly call forwarding to mobiles. The secure 3G wireless router provided laptop connectivity with plenty of room for other devices too.

To find out more about VOIP telephony and secure 3G wireless connectivity please contact Brooks Deacon Partnership on 0845 345 4321 or alternatively please visit www.brooksdeaconpartnership.com

Cut the costs and increase the productivity of your office and mobile communications You use the phone every day of your working life, yet you never really know whether you’re paying too much for your calls. If you’ve not done your research, you’re almost certainly paying more than you need to.

Georgina Varley who will be representing Team GB in next months World Trampolining Championships came up to the studio of MAD Photography yesterday to get a photoshoot done to be used on her own website and for other promotional purposes.
We were approached by a contact who is based in Kent to see if we could photograph Georgina. She is also based in Maidstone and they were prepared to travel up to Northamptonshire for her photoshoot. When asked why they didn’t go for a photographer closer to home, Stephen King, M.D. of her sponsor PHSC replied that he wanted to use someone he knew he could trust and was good. High praise indeed!
We will look forward to seeing the photos not only on the website that is being built for her, but if she is successful hopefully we will see our photographs have wider coverage.
Georgina is looking to be selected to represent GB in the 2012 Olympics in London.
For further information on commercial or portfolio shoots visit our website www.madphotography.co.uk
